i've never had a bad experience at rum runners, food is great, service was good, and i love the cheap martinis on fridays

Possibly the worst dining experience ever. July 2/07 2 p.m. lunch with six people in party. No staff, incomplete order, didn't recieve food for an HOUR. 45 minutes of waiting finally gets us the line from the manager that they are short of staff but our order is next up barely warm chowder (with a peice of steel wool in it), no coffee or water refills (and since thats all we had...), no bread or munchie on table while waiting, etc. They finally did reduce the final tab, but had they only told us at the beginning that it would be a long wait we would have gone elsewhere. Add to it the complete unprofessionalism of the staff....pathetic service, bland uninspired food. A restaurant like that here wouldn't survive a week. Next visit to PEI will include a much better lunch at any of the other local pubs, of which there are many (Olde Dublin, Gahan House, etc.) M.Ingalls, California
